Daniel Friedman brings over two decades of experience as a trusted in-house counsel and legal advisor to global enterprises and innovative startups alike. His practice focuses on corporate and commercial law, intellectual property, employment law, M&A, and compliance, with deep industry experience in complex transactions, technology, SaaS, e-commerce, and digital infrastructure.
As the founder of DIF Legal Advisors, Daniel advises startups and emerging growth companies across multiple sectors, guiding them through entity formation, funding rounds, IP strategy, and regulatory compliance. He has successfully supported product launches, created HR and employment frameworks, and led M&A transactions with precision and strategic insight.
Prior to launching his own practice, Daniel served as Assistant General Counsel at Tech Data Corporation, where he was lead counsel for the $250M Global Services Division and managed legal matters for over 6,000 employees. He also held senior legal roles at Avnet, directing contract negotiation for a $7B business unit and leading legal integration for multiple strategic acquisitions.
He is licensed to practice in California and Arizona and is an active board member of the Fresh Start Women’s Foundation.
